We all do things that we’d rather not be seen by others and often, these things are harmless enough. However, sometimes the unseen actions of one person can have huge implications for another: a cheating spouse or someone trying to defraud a company for worker’s comp, for example. In these extreme situations, it pays to have someone who can see what’s not meant to be seen.
Being well-versed in surveillance is one of the pillars of private investigation in Baton Rouge and for good reason: surveillance usually yields a bevy of critical information that can light the fire under a legal matter or expose the wrongdoings of someone. Some examples of essential surveillance include:
- Catching a cheating spouse in the act and obtaining evidence of infidelity, so that divorce proceedings can be approached properly—especially for the person being cheated on, who will be entitled to damages.
- Catching someone who is faking an injury or assuming a guise of bodily harm, in anticipation of an insurance payout or lawsuit.
- Catching untrustworthy employees or acquaintances who may be committing crimes such as theft, vandalism or fraud.
In all of these cases and more, private investigation—or more specifically, surveillance—is required to nail down the proof that’s required to bring things out into the open, so they can be dealt with!
